This latest offering from Donna Leon has as its background the world of organised crime and the extortion and environmental destruction surrounding the garbage "contracts" that operate in Italy. There is murder, corruption and philosophy aplenty, and of course the food, wine and family of Brunetti.I don't care if this series of books is becoming formulaic I still enjoy the detail about life in Venice.
